The Blue Girl

A self-published picture book about the Blue Girl and her friend Green, exploring friendship through colour, written and illustrated for readers aged 2–4. Every spread taught me the same lesson I now bring to product: pacing, hierarchy and feeling decide whether a story lands. Turn the page too soon, and it breaks.
Character & Series
Recurring characters, built over time, each with its own world and visual language. Two ongoing threads: a pair of birds in watercolour and ink, and a series of original characters framed as small painted emblems. Different in style, same instinct — give a character enough consistency and feeling that it starts to live on its own.
Bird Friends

A pink bird and a green one, turning up across everyday moments, missing each other, cycling together, seeing the world. Small stories about friendship, told in colour.
Digital Painting
Where the linework gives way to texture, light and volume. Painted portraits, some from life, some invented, built to show that feeling and technical craft aren't opposites.
Character Emblems

A set of original characters, each held in its own two-tone emblem, the same framing applied again and again, so the collection reads as one system while every character stays distinct. These serie started always with a randon shape and stain, wich after I would find its character.

Studies in fur, light and expression, a shift in register from my line work, and proof that emotion holds up at full rendering, not just in a few clean strokes.

As teaching assistant for Visual Language Fundamentals, I mentored first-year students through a semester of drawing and curated the closing exhibition, scroll drawings and video across the university's Ado Malagoli Art Space. I also wrote the curatorial text.
